The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Maximus throws a nice inside leg kick.
Pool works Maximus's body with a nice hook.
Pool throws a low kick but Maximus moves out of range easily.
Pool avoids the body shot from Maximus.
Pool misses with a wild body shot.
Maximus with a lazy takedown attempt
enabling Pool to counter with a crisp jab.
Maximus pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pool throws a nice inside leg kick.

It looks like Arilius Maximus has been cut.
Maximus tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Pool is able to avoid easily.
Maximus avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Maximus tries to keep at a distance but Pool has taken the fight into the clinch.

Pool escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Maximus misses with a wild combination.
Maximus looks gassed!

Pool scores a takedown into full mount!
Pool in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Pool fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That has opened up Arilius Maximus's cut even more.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pool looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Maximus covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
