The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owens bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Nowak's head backwards.
Nowak tries to clinch but Owens moves out of range.
Nowak stuffs the takedown attempt from Owens. Owens gets slowly back to his feet.

Owens decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
