Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Duk Dong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brody Savanis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dong's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Thompson Twins - If You Were Here. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Duk Dong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brody Savanis!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, David Schapiro and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savanis misses with a double jab
enabling Dong to counter with a crisp jab.
Sloppy strikes from Savanis. Those never looked like landing.
Dong tries for a takedown but Savanis circles away easily
and Savanis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dong looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Savanis is fending him off so far but Dong persists. Nope, Savanis circles away and we're back to standing.

Brody Savanis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Dong decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Savanis's guard.

Dong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Savanis swivels though and keeps the full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Savanis holds on and takes a little breather.

Savanis is looking to stand up but Dong isn't so interested in that idea.
Dong trying to control the position from guard on top but Savanis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dong missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Dong postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Dong will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That was a close second round but I would say that Duk Dong will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Savanis throws a nice looking combination but Dong bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dong shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Savanis sprawls well. Savanis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dong gets slowly back to his feet.

Duk Dong overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
