The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clifton throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gorvinskichev's waist but Gorvinskichev gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Clifton off to one side.

Gorvinskichev closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gorvinskichev lands in his opponent's guard.
Gorvinskichev wants to control from the top but Clifton keeps moving.
Clifton is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Gorvinskichev lands a huge takedown. Clifton is out but the ref is slow to react and Gorvinskichev lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Clifton lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
