Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitaker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tony Titan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Titan shoots in but Whitaker avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Whitaker tries to close the distance and clinch but Titan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Whitaker gets a clinch.
Whitaker successfully pulls guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Titan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Whitaker swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Titan has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Whitaker clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Whitaker is trying to break free.
Titan really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Whitaker.

Whitaker is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Titan keeps control of the position easily here as Whitaker tries to buck him off.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Titan is not going to allow Whitaker to sit and survive in this position.

Whitaker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Titan tries to avoid it but Whitaker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Titan to the ground. Titan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

enabling Whitaker to counter with a crisp jab.
Horrible takedown by Whitaker or perhaps it was just good defense by Titan which made him look bad.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Titan shoots for a double leg takedown but Whitaker sprawls well. He's pushed Titan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Whitaker drops Titan with a beautiful combination! Titan stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Whitaker is looking for the KO!
It looks like Tony Titan has been cut.
Titan moves out of range of the leg kick from Whitaker.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Bryant Whitaker will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Titan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Whitaker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Titan is looking to take a break and control but Whitaker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tony Titan hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Whitaker is desperately trying to improve his position but Titan has a good base and remains in mount.
