The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palumbo tries to bum rush Sweatpants with a series of wild strikes but Sweatpants uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Palumbo looks to land a combination but Sweatpants avoids it well.

Palumbo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sweatpants, pushing him back against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Palumbo creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Palumbo lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Sweatpants is trying to drag Palumbo to the mat but Palumbo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Palumbo is trying to push Sweatpants away but Sweatpants has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Palumbo creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
