Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter van Uhm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Beasley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beasley is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Metalingus . Adam Beasley will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter van Uhm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Adam Beasley!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

van Uhm changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Beasley looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

van Uhm goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Beasley has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for van Uhm but great work by Beasley.
van Uhm tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Beasley wants to stand but van Uhm has his arm trapped.
van Uhm is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Beasley is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
van Uhm looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
van Uhm is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Beasley doesn't have the hooks in and van Uhm manages to turn into his guard.
van Uhm trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Beasley keeping moving, preventing van Uhm from controlling successfully.

van Uhm drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Beasley dives on top into guard.

van Uhm working a defensive guard here.
Beasley wanted to stand there but van Uhm had control of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
van Uhm looking to hit a scissor sweep but Beasley is one step ahead there.
van Uhm is breathing heavily.
Beasley wants to get up but he can't break van Uhm's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Beasley won't allow van Uhm to sweep him here.
Beasley wants to stand but van Uhm has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

van Uhm is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Beasley would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
van Uhm takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Beasley lands a nice hook to van Uhm's body. van Uhm takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Beasley lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Beasley.
van Uhm throws a lazy right hand but Beasley sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
van Uhm changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Beasley tries to avoid it but van Uhm manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Beasley to the ground. Beasley escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Beasley throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Beasley throws a series of strikes that have van Uhm backpedaling.
Beasley just misses with a punch to the body.
Nice uppercut lands for Beasley. That snapped van Uhm's head back.
Jab by Beasley.

Beasley gets caught flat footed, as van Uhm shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

van Uhm gets to his feet - Beasley follows without any prompting.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

van Uhm bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

van Uhm looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
van Uhm tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Beasley is trying to get back to his feet.
van Uhm has knee on belly and moves into mount.

van Uhm working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Beasley looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by van Uhm! Submission of the night perhaps?
