The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kepas is looking to clinch.

Kewell closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kepas's guard.
Kewell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kepas swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kepas avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Kewell slips nicely into half guard.

Kewell slips a nice elbow through Kepas's hands, connecting with Kepas's forehead.

Kepas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kewell on the ground.

Kewell wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kepas, who protects the arm well.
Kepas is trying to buck Kewell off.

Kewell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kepas keeps working.

Kewell works to advance to full mount. Kepas defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kewell lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Kewell avoids the attempt from Kepas to control.

Kewell is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kepas can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

A very excited looking Sonny Kewell rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
