Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva darts in and clinches Gonzalo up against the cage.
Silva lands a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Silva wants to control from the top but Gonzalo keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Tim Silva was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Gonzalo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gonzalo doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Silva moves into the clinch.
Silva's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Silva's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gonzalo lands a left and a right that send Silva crashing to the mat, dazed. Gonzalo thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Tim Silva has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Silva throws a head kick but Gonzalo moves out of range.
Silva takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Gonzalo tries for a takedown but Silva circles away easily
so Silva counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Silva advances to half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Gonzalo manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Gonzalo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Silva wants to stand but Gonzalo is controlling his posture from full guard.

Silva is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Silva looks gassed!
Silva looking to sit in guard and control but Gonzalo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gonzalo trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Gonzalo postures up in Silva's guard and throws a big left but Silva blocks it.
Gonzalo throws a big elbow that misses.
Silva is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gonzalo defends well.
Silva wants to get back to his feet but Gonzalo is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Gonzalo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gonzalo sprawls well. Gonzalo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Silva gets slowly back to his feet.

Gonzalo leaves Silva with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Gonzalo shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Gonzalo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gonzalo fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Silva to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Silva looks to clinch but Gonzalo throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Silva taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
