The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bot throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rodriguez tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bot is in Rodriguez's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Bot stands up over Rodriguez, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Bot has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bot works a leg free and moves into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rodriguez trying to control from the bottom.
Rodriguez looking for submissions off his back.
Bot is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Bot missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Rodriguez wants to get back to full guard.
Bot lands strikes from half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bot postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Rodriguez looks a forlorn figure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rodriguez is trying to escape the mount.
Bot lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
BOOM! Bot connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Bot scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Rodriguez?

Rodriguez is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Bot lands a nice shot to the head.
Rodriguez wants to control but Bot is having none of it.
Rodriguez tries to improve his position but Bot has taken his back! Bot has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Rodriguez tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Bot pushes Rodriguez away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
