Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wanderlei Nogueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Ituano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nogueira comes to the cage accompanied by Bate Pesadão. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ituano takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Nogueira looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Ituano!

Nogueira has hold of Ituano's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Ituano manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Nogueira is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Ituano is surviving well by controlling Nogueira's body position as best he can.
Ituano really wants to buck Nogueira off and get back to his feet.

Ituano is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nogueira has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Ituano's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Nogueira is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ituano can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
