The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cartman just misses with a punch to the body.
Iaton throws out a leg kick but Cartman moves out of range and Iaton only half commits.
Cartman misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cartman looks to score with a jab to the body but Iaton is just out of range.
Cartman goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Cartman throws a sloppy head kick and Iaton moves out of range easily.
Cartman looks to land a body kick but Iaton moved away.
Cartman paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Cartman moves out of range as Iaton strikes.
Cartman takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Cartman swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Iaton counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Iaton looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Cartman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Iaton on the ground.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Iaton wants to work for an arm triangle but Cartman is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
