Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stevie Janowski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Durnhammer Ballista!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Janowski keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ballista tries to clinch but Janowski moves out of range.
Janowski wants to clinch.
Ballista displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Ballista fails to land the takedown.
A combination from Janowski does no damage.
Janowski shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ballista but Ballista pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ballista should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Stevie Janowski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Durnhammer Ballista.

Ballista manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Janowski thows a huge punch but Ballista dodges it nicely.

Ballista has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Janowski is working away from the top position though.
Janowski wants to free his trapped foot but Ballista is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Janowski landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Ballista wants to get back to his feet.
Ballista is trying to maintain the position but Janowski is very close to passing his half guard.
Janowski looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ballista with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Ballista circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ballista stuffs the takedown attempt from Janowski. Janowski gets slowly back to his feet.
Janowski is breathing heavily.
Janowski shoots in looking for a takedown. Ballista tries to sprawl out of it but Janowski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ballista manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Janowski misses with a combination
and Ballista counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Janowski!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ballista tries to control but Janowski wriggling away.
Janowski has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Ballista is looking to control Janowski but Janowski is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Janowski rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Janowski on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Janowski tries to get out of the position.
Ballista is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Janowski defends it well.
Janowski wants to get back to full guard but Ballista has mounted him!

Janowski makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Janowski.
Janowski manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ballista manages to get himself to full guard.

Ballista utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Janowski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ballista swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Janowski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ballista on the ground.
Janowski scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Janowski thows a big elbow that misses.
Ballista looking to hit a scissor sweep but Janowski is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ballista has his foot on Janowski's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Janowski works his way back into a safe position though.

Janowski is working Ballista over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Durnhammer Ballista will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Ballista manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Janowski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ballista moves into full mount! Janowski won't be happy about that!
Ballista looking to control but Janowski is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Janowski in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Ballista working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Janowski turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Ballista off and cradles Janowski's limp body as Ballista celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Durnhammer Ballista!
