The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Easy scores with a head kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Easy looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bowens fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Easy throws a head kick but Bowens moves out of range.
Mike Bowens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Easy goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Bowens tries to clinch up but Easy circles away and keeps his distance.

Bowens shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Easy manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Bowens closes this distance looking for a takedown but Easy circles away.
Bowens shoots in looking for a takedown. Easy tries to sprawl out of it but Bowens keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Easy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bowens changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Easy tries to avoid it but Bowens manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Easy to the ground. Easy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bowens is trying to drag Easy to the mat but Easy just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
