The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawson lands a slapping body shot.
Vass throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lawson throws a good cross that connects.
Vass tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lawson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Lawson lands a big head kick that sends Vass tumbling to the mat! Lawson takes a step backwards and waves Vass back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Vass is rocked!

It looks like Franklyn Vass has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lawson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Vass.
Oh Vass is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lawson connects with an inside leg kick.
Lawson lands a nice hook to Vass's body. Vass takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Vass on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Vass is breathing heavily.
A chopping leg kick lands by Lawson.
Lawson lands an uppercut, right on the button! Vass tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
