PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Robbie White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daz King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robbie White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daz King!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

White closes the distance and clinches.

White manages to break the clinch.
White slaps away a takedown attempt from King, before circling back to the center of the mat.
King shoots in but White avoids the takedown attempt easily.
King has a takedown stuffed.
Robbie White has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daz King.
King fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

White moves into range and clinches up with King.
King fails to pull the fight into his guard.
White stalling against the cage.

White tightens his grip and picks King up, before dumping him to the ground. King manages to land in guard.
White wants to control from the top but King keeps moving.
King is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

King looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

White trying to control but King is working from the bottom.
White controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
King working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from White.
White with a flurry of punches that miss.
White trying to stand up but can't free himself from King's guard.

King is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and White defends well.
King is trying to keep White in close.
White being controlled here momentarily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
White stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. King swivels though and keeps the full guard.

King escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. White gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
King looking for a sweep. Not yet King, not yet.
White trying to control the position from guard on top but King is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
White is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because King is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
King not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

White trying to control but King is working from the bottom.

Robbie White has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from King is defended easily by White.

King gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows White to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
White postures up.
White content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

King has his feet on White's thighs here. He's pushed White off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! White screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
