Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shane Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mega Ballser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shane Martinez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shane Martinez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mega Ballser!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ballser will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Martinez clinches.
Ballser stalling in the clinch but Martinez improves position.
Martinez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Ballser tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Ballser stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Martinez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Horrible takedown by Ballser or perhaps it was just good defense by Martinez which made him look bad.
Ballser throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Martinez's waist but Martinez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ballser off to one side.
Martinez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Martinez misses with a takedown attempt - Ballser sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Martinez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Ballser tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Martinez just stands there and leans against the cage.
Martinez goes for a takedown attempt but Ballser pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Martinez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Martinez fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ballser, pushing him back against the cage.

Ballser is breathing heavily.
Ballser tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Martinez tries to land a knee to the head but Ballser blocks with his arms.
Ballser looking to throw knees to the head but Martinez is blocking nicely.

Martinez is trying to trip Ballser. He has hold of a leg but Ballser is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Martinez persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Martinez passes Ballser's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Martinez slips a nice elbow through Ballser's hands, connecting with Ballser's forehead.

Martinez is tying to control. Ballser wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Ballser is staying active underneath Martinez, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Martinez seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
