Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matheus Carvalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mukassa Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carvalho comes to the cage accompanied by Notorious BIG - Victory. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones moves out of range as Carvalho strikes.
Carvalho tried to score with a low kick but Jones checks it.
Carvalho fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Jones is out of range.
Carvalho avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Jones cracks Carvalho with an open hand slap.

It looks like Matheus Carvalho has been cut.

Carvalho shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jones is trying to defend but Carvalho finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Jones has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Carvalho can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carvalho. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jones isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Carvalho stacks Jones on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Carvalho!
