Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Kurose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renell Regisme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yuuki Gou and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Regisme tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Kurose feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Regisme keeping moving, preventing Kurose from controlling successfully.

Kurose drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kurose jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Regisme is trying to control the position but Kurose postures up.
Kurose passes into half guard.
Regisme wants to get back to full guard.

Kurose wants to pass to mount but Regisme is defending the position.
Regisme wants to get back to full guard.
Kurose prevents Regisme from standing back up.
Kurose thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Regisme's head.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Regisme tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Kurose manages to move to mount!
Regisme tries to buck Kurose off but he can't manage it.
Kurose trying to control but Regisme is having none of it.
Regisme really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kurose. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kurose avoids the attempt from Regisme to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Regisme is working to get back to half guard.

Regisme tries to buck Kurose off but he can't manage it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Regisme blocking the ground and pound.
Kurose manages to capitalize on a mistake by Regisme to take his back!

Regisme prevents Kurose from getting a body triangle.
Regisme trying to control the action but Kurose just sinks the hooks in.

Regisme trying to get back to his feet but Kurose is in full control for now.
Regisme is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Kurose is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Regisme with him. Regisme is trying to defend but Kurose has an arm under the chin now! Regisme grimaces and is forced to tap out!
