Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scott Hyde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cuco Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hyde comes to the cage accompanied by Psycho Man. Perez has chosen Metallica - One(S&M) as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Hyde! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cuco Perez! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Hyde does no damage. Hyde on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Perez. Perez obviously looking to wear him down.
Hyde lands with a straight right. Perez didn't see that one coming.
It looks like Cuco Perez has been cut. Some wild striking there from Hyde.
Perez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hyde looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Hyde is trying to improve his position. Hyde gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Hyde is working to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Perez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hyde is looking to escape. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee warns Hyde that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Hyde is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round. Perez looking for a guillotine from mount but Hyde is having none of it. Hyde is trying to escape the mount but Perez keeps good control and instead manages to take Hyde's back.
Perez tries to get the hooks in deep but Hyde pushed the leg off. Hyde is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet. Perez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Hyde is looking to improve his position but Perez isn't that keen on the idea. You get the feeling that Hyde really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Perez fails to take his opponent's back. Perez postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hyde looks a forlorn figure.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hyde manages to regain half guard. Good work. Hyde is looking to escape. Hyde manages to get to full guard.
Hyde is looking for a triangle but Perez pushes his legs off easily.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Perez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cuco Perez dominated that round. The cut man is working on Cuco Perez's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Hyde misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Perez gets a takedown into half guard. Hyde manages to get to full guard.
Hyde has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Perez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Perez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hyde swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hyde is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Perez slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Hyde scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Hyde rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Perez moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hyde misses with a two punch combination.
Perez shoots in but no luck this time. Perez ducks under a wild hook from Hyde. Perez decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Perez wants to take a breather but Hyde is having none of it. Perez with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Hyde is refusing to be controlled, as Perez sits in half guard. Perez tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hyde knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Hyde pushes Perez off looking to stand but Perez dives back in and keeps control.
Cuco Perez has got the better of the ground game so far. Perez lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Perez looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Perez uses his free foot to push down on Hyde's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hyde. Perez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hyde is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Perez get's back to his feet. Hyde takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Perez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Hyde is looking for a sweep. Perez decides to stand back up. Perez steps back and let's Hyde get back to his feet. Hyde catches Perez napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Perez to the canvas!
Perez is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hyde stands up from Perez's guard - Hyde perhaps looking for a knockout. Perez is still on wobbly legs! Can Hyde finish him? Scott Hyde is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hyde fakes the body blow, causing Perez to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Perez goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
