The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Honda misses with a takedown attempt - Speed sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Speed ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Speed scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Honda takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Speed slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Speed throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Honda closes the distance looking to clinch
and Speed counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Honda thinking.
Speed defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Honda.
Honda takes a jab right on the kisser.
Speed fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Speed stalks Honda and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Honda's face. Honda staggers backwards, shaken.
Connor Speed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Honda gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Horrible takedown by Honda or perhaps it was just good defense by Speed which made him look bad.
