Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nikolai Volkoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crash Test (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crash Test has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nikolai Volkoff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Viktor Lagutenko and Illya Tyunina.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Test fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Volkoff, pushing him back against the cage.

Test manages to pull guard.
Test keeping moving, preventing Volkoff from controlling successfully.
Volkoff knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Test on the ground.
Test has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Test is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Let's hope that Test has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Test is on top in guard.
Volkoff keeping moving, preventing Test from controlling successfully.

Volkoff is trying to control the position but Test postures up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Test moves into range and clinches up with Volkoff.

Test's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Volkoff fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Test keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Volkoff could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Test shoots in but no luck this time.
Volkoff misses with a body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Volkoff. Test does a little dance to reset his feet.

Test clinches up against the cage.
Volkoff wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Test breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Test shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Volkoff is wriggling around trying to escape.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Test takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Volkoff is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Test scoring with strikes but Volkoff is staying in there.
Volkoff might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Volkoff is looking to get to half guard.
Volkoff wants to control but Test is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Volkoff tries to reverse the position but Test maintains control.
Test wants to control the pace but Volkoff is squirming around nicely.
Test is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Test landing strikes from the mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Test postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Volkoff looks a forlorn figure.

Volkoff is desperately trying to improve his position but Test has a good base and remains in mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Volkoff wants to hold on but Test pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Crash Test dominated that round.

Test drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Test advances position into side control!
Test tries to score with some ground and pound. Volkoff controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Volkoff is looking to reverse the position.
Volkoff is working hard here to advance position.
Volkoff is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Test taking a breather here.

Test is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Volkoff knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Volkoff is not content to let Test control the position.
Volkoff is trying to control Test's posture but Test avoids it.
Volkoff tries to buck Test off but Test is having none of it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Volkoff tries to control but Test manages to take his back.
Test biding his time, looking for the opening.

I really don't envy Volkoff right now.

Test controlling the position well here. Volkoff rolled but Test kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Test is working for a rear naked choke. Volkoff is not defending it well and Test has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Volkoff refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Volkoff's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
