PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Damien Mays (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hoof Face (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Face darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Mays knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Face on the ground.
Face works his way into full mount!
Face with the ground and pound from mount.

It looks like Damien Mays has been cut.
Face can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mays is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Face looking to secure an arm triangle but Mays defends it well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Mays stops Face from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Mays tries to hold on but Face pushes him away.

Mays has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Face is working away from the top position though.

Face shoots in but no luck this time.
Damien Mays is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Face looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
