Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard Cullen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Vronsky!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cullen lands a jab to Vronsky's midsection.

Vronsky tries to keep at a distance but Cullen has taken the fight into the clinch.
Vronsky prevents a body shot from Cullen.
Cullen lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

It looks like Michael Vronsky has been cut.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Vronsky.
Vronsky is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Vronsky tries to circle away but Cullen has him pinned against the cage.

Vronsky is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Cullen can't fight it off and eventually Vronsky manages to take the fight to the floor. Cullen looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vronsky stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cullen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Vronsky advances to half guard.
Cullen tries to roll over but Vronsky keeps him under control.
Cullen is refusing to be controlled, as Vronsky sits in half guard.
Cullen moves into full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vronsky accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Vronsky forces his way into half guard.
Cullen manages to get to full guard.
Vronsky stopping the sweep attempt from Cullen.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Vronsky is pushing down on Cullen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Cullen is fighting to maintain full guard but Vronsky has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Vronsky wants to take a breather but Cullen is having none of it.
Vronsky landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cullen wants to improve his position but Vronsky is controlling well.

Vronsky is trying for a kimura here. Cullen looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Vronsky wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Michael Vronsky!
Michael Vronsky decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
