and Nayoui counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Rick Roufus has been cut. Roufus connects with a crisp jab. Roufus throws a sloppy head kick and Nayoui moves out of range easily. Nayoui avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Nayoui looks to land a left hand but Roufus moved out of range nicely. Roufus misses with an uppercut. Nayoui saw that one coming. Nayoui closes the distance and lands a one-two. Roufus swings and misses with a shot to the body and Nayoui cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Roufus keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

and Nayoui counters with a lovely straight right hand! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A bone on bone clash there as Nayoui blocks the leg kick.
Roufus looks to score with a jab to the body but Nayoui is just out of range. Roufus defending well as Nayoui loads up on a big left hand. Rick Roufus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Roufus throws a shot from downtown. Nayoui moves away and avoids it. Nayoui uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Roufus.
Roufus rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Nayoui connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Roufus has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Nayoui finds it's way round the side to connect with Roufus's head.

Roufus is rocked! Nayoui is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Roufus throws an off balance right hand
and Nayoui counters with a big uppercut that drops Roufus face first to the mat! Will he beat the count?! He's struggled up to his knees on 7 but it doesn't look like he's going to make it... he's been counted out! This fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Noriyuki Nayoui!
