Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 15 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Schnitzer Schnitz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Forrewt Griffin! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Griffin throws a left and a right that both miss
and Schnitz counters with a nice double leg into guard. Griffin wants to get back to his feet but Schnitz passes into half guard.
Griffin has hold of Schnitz's hands but Schnitz slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Schnitz content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Griffin manages to escape and get back to his feet! Griffin falls off balance throwing a combination
and Schnitz counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Griffin! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Schnitz controlling from the full mount. Griffin is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

That's one minute gone in the round. Griffin is trying to stand up. Schnitz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Schnitz controlling from the full mount. Schnitz has isolated one of Griffin's arms. Griffin looking to fight him off but Schnitz twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
