The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Shimada looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Ferguson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Shimada to the mat! Shimada manages to get full guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Ferguson throws an elbow that misses. Shimada uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ferguson's guard. Nice move by Shimada!

Ferguson has hold of Shimada's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Shimada manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Ferguson rolls with it to try and escape but Shimada cranks on the arm and Ferguson is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
