Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Pogi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pogi comes to the cage accompanied by Ice Ice baby. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Bruno Lombardi and Dean Styles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pogi darts in and clinches Riley up against the cage.

Pogi manages to break the clinch.
Pogi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Pogi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Riley regains half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Riley is refusing to be controlled, as Pogi sits in half guard.

Riley is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Pogi pulls his head out easily.
Riley wants to improve his position but Pogi is controlling well.
Riley regains full guard. Nicely done.
Pogi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Riley wants to sweep here but Pogi controlling him for the moment.

Riley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pogi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pogi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Pogi wanted to stand there but Riley had control of the position.

Riley is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Riley bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pogi's guard.
Riley looks gassed!

Riley is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Riley keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Pogi's head.

Pogi had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Riley is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Pogi Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Riley's back instead.
Riley rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Pogi moves nicely into side control.
Riley is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Riley manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Pogi stops Riley from passing to mount.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Riley lands a decent elbow from side control.
Riley is working Pogi over with some ground and pound from side control.
Riley wants to control but Pogi is keeping him busy.
Pogi tries to buck Riley off but Riley is having none of it.

Riley passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Pogi!

Riley stands up from mount. Strange move.
Pogi throws a right and a left that Riley avoids nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Riley shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Pogi on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pogi tries to get out of the position.

Riley jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Pogi is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Pogi and Riley has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Pogi is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Riley lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Riley cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Pogi is in all sorts of trouble here.

Riley is working for a guillotine from mount but Pogi frees his head quite easily.
Pogi is looking to improve his position but Riley isn't that keen on the idea.

Riley is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Pogi has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Pogi!
Pogi lands a couple of digs.

Pogi has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Riley to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Pogi is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Riley pulls down on the head and he's put Pogi to sleep! This one is all over!
