Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimbo Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Black! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimbo Jones! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Black scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Black remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Jones wants to control but Black postures up. Jones being controlled for a moment. Black throwing strikes but Jones manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Jones taking a breather here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Black, who protects the arm well. Black is trying to control Jones's posture but Jones avoids it. Black tries to get back to half guard but can't. Black on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Black tries to get out of the position. Black struggling a bit here.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jones moves forwards but Black connects with a nice, crisp jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Black has a takedown stuffed. Black shoots in and bounces Jones off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Jones is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Black is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Black works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Black not doing much here.
Jones won't allow Black to pass to mount. Black works his foot free and advances to mount. Black thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Black takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Jones is trying to escape the mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Black is in the full mount, landing strikes. Black throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Jones because Black loaded up on that one. Black controlling the position easily from mount. Jones manages to regain half guard. Good work. Black seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Black dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Nice takedown defense from Jones. No joy for Black on that attempt. Black scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Black sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Jones defending well though. Jones keeping control of the position. Black controlling the action here. Jones tries to get to full guard but Black has control of the leg. Black content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones wants to get back to his feet. Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Black keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Black trying to pass the guard but Jones defending well. Jones wants to get back to his feet. Jones is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Black looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Jack Black just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Black tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away. Black shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Black's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. No luck for Black with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Black. That's going to take a lot out of him. Black tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it. Black shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Jones is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Black thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Black's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Jones is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Black controlling the pace for now. Jones is in a horrible position here. Black smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Jones working to try and regain half guard.
Black controlling the position easily from mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Black dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.
Black closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away. Black has taken the fight to the clinch.

Black shoots in and bounces Jones off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Jones keeping moving, preventing Black from controlling successfully. Black seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Black doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Black manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Black thows a big elbow that misses. Jones is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Black is controlling him. Black is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Black works a leg free and moves into half guard. Jones wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Black looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Jones is trying to stand up here but Black is controlling him well. Black wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working. Jack Black overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Black content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Jack Black just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Jones fails to land the takedown. Black shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Black. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Black. Black gets slowly back to his feet. Black swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Black shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jones rushes Black and presses him up against the cage. Black drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jones breaks the clinch.
Black scores with a takedown into Jones's guard. Black wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. Jones manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Jones wants to control the pace but Black is squirming around nicely. Jimbo Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jones raining down shots from the mount!
And that's the end of the fight! Jack Black showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Black, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
