The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hunter throws a head kick but Almeida moves out of range.
Hunter wants to clinch.
Hunter bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Almeida fails to land with a series of punches.
Almeida is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Almeida fails in his attempt to clinch.
Almeida bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Almeida closes the distance and pushes Hunter back into the cage.
Hunter prevents the takedown attempt.

Almeida breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hunter is looking to clinch but Almeida is avoiding it.

Almeida moves into the clinch.

Hunter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hunter lands a glancing blow to the side of Almeida's head.
Hunter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Almeida is looking to clinch but Hunter is avoiding it.
Almeida avoids a punch combination nicely.

Hunter tries to clinch up but Almeida circles away and keeps his distance.
Almeida rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hunter moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Almeida shoots in looking for a takedown but Hunter manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Almeida's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Almeida moves into the clinch.
Hunter is trying to push Almeida away but Almeida has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Hunter tries a body shot but Almeida blocks it.

Hunter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Johnny Hunter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Almeida closes the distance and clinches up with Hunter, looking for a takedown. Almeida pushes Hunter against the cage but Hunter circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Almeida shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hunter as he jumps to the side.

Hunter moves into the clinch.

Hunter's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Almeida has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hunter is proving hard to escape from.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Almeida drops back looking for a leg! Hunter is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hunter manages to kick Almeida off! Almeida jumps back into Hunter's guard.
Almeida sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hunter's guard.
Hunter is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Almeida jumps into side control!
Almeida wants to control but Hunter is keeping him busy.

Almeida is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hunter has escaped the position, nice work there.
Hunter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Almeida. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Almeida is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Hunter looks calm but he's in trouble here. Almeida gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Hunter is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Almeida lets go of the hold and Hunter can pop his arm back in it's socket.
