Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lu Kang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Mattews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Bob Mattews was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lu Kang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bob Mattews! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kang tries to close the distance and clinch but Mattews swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mattews cracks Kang with a good jab. Mattews lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kang circles away quickly and effectively. A right-left combo lands from Kang. Kang leaves Mattews with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Mattews lands a head shot. Mattews throws a looping overhand right but Kang ducks down to avoid it. Mattews tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kang swivels and escapes. Bob Mattews seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mattews shoots in for a double leg but Kang sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Lu Kang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Mattews. Kang has Mattews up against the cage in a clinch.

Mattews manages to break the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kang tries to clinch but Mattews is having none of it. Mattews doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kang counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mattews thinking. Mattews looks gassed! Kang tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mattews swats him away and circles back towards the center. Kang clinches. Kang manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Kang breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mattews avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mattews has his takedown stuffed and Kang counters with a monster head kick that knocks Mattews out cold! He topples like fallen a tree, crashing to the mat! Timbeeeeeerrr!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Lu Kang! Lu Kang took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
