Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jim Bean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Mote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jim Bean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Mote!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mote is defended easily by Bean.
Mote moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Mote shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bean tries to clinch but Mote is having none of it.
Bean fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bean really is a fat lump.

Mote is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.

Bean takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Bean stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bean wants it to stay on the feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Mote connects with a leg kick. Bean looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Mote fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bean sprawls well initially but Mote persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Mote takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Mote has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Mote is looking to take a break and control but Bean is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ryan Mote was stalling too much, according to the referee.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Mote sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bean's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bean stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Mote.
Bean is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mote smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Bean takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Bean leaves Mote with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Bean fails with a takedown attempt.
Mote shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bean eats them both and turns towards Mote to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Mote looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Bean throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mote works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Mote working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bean doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bean manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
