Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josh Osko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiho Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Osko kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Selling the Wind. Silva has chosen March of the Swiss Soldiers as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Osko throws a hook to the side of Silva's head but Silva sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Osko throws a leg kick but Silva checks it.
Silva tries for a takedown but Osko circles away easily
and Osko counters with a slapping leg kick.
Silva misses with a takedown
and Osko counters with a slapping leg kick.
Osko throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Silva counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Osko is lucky that one didn't land flush.

and Osko counters with a body kick that stops Silva in his tracks momentarily.

and Silva counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Osko is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Osko is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Osko manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Osko's guard.
Osko pulls Silva in close to his closed guard and prevents Silva from doing any damage or advancing position.
Osko's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Osko escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Osko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Osko pulls Silva in close to his closed guard and prevents Silva from doing any damage or advancing position.
Osko is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Osko lands a nice short elbow.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Osko wants to pass to mount but Silva is defending the position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well Osko has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
