Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Blake Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grind Em Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grind Em Gracie told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Grind Em Gracie!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard stuffs the takedown attempt from Gracie. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.
Gracie fails to land the takedown.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Howard as he jumps to the side.
Blake Howard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grind Em Gracie.

Gracie looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Gracie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Howard is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gracie, into his guard.
Gracie manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Howard gets back to half guard.
Howard manages to get to full guard.
Howard looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gracie is one step ahead there.

Gracie is sitting in close to Howard's body. Howard has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Gracie is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Gracie is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Howard.
