Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincenzo Calliente (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Calliente fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Riley sprawls well initially but Calliente persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Riley is looking to control Calliente's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Riley avoid being mounted?
Riley is looking for a sweep. Calliente is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Riley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Calliente throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Calliente tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Riley manages to get to full guard.
Calliente really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Riley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Riley keeping moving, preventing Calliente from controlling successfully.
Riley manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Calliente manages to get himself to full guard.
Riley won't allow Calliente to sweep him here.
Riley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Calliente not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Riley is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Calliente escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Riley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Calliente looks gassed!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Riley misses with a takedown attempt

so Calliente counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Calliente slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Riley looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Riley looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Calliente stands up out of Riley's guard for a moment - Riley manages to land a nice upkick.
Calliente keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Riley's head.
Calliente wants to control from the top but Riley keeps moving.
Calliente wants to stand but Riley is controlling his posture from full guard.

Riley escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Calliente gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Calliente content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Riley has locked up a guillotine! Riley's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Calliente is holding on here and Riley must be using up a lot of energy. Calliente has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Riley gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
