Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Lok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kevin Lok has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin Lok!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ron Black!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lok avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A nice combination there by Black.
Black throws an off balance right hand

and Lok counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Black's guard now.

Lok drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lok jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Lok postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lok connects with a couple of short punches.
Lok passes Black's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Lok in particular looking to stall.

Lok is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Black doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lok.
Lok throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Lok is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Black as he works his way to full guard.
Lok missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Lok thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Lok looking to pass the guard.

Lok working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Black utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Black keeping full guard, as Lok tries to pass.
Lok looking to sit in guard and control but Black gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Lok has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Lok pulls Black in close to prevent any damage.
Lok lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Black!

Lok looking to control but Black is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Lok swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Black is now in Lok's guard. A big mistake from Lok there, giving up the dominant position!

Black stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Lok throws up his legs and catches Black in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Black tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Lok! That came out of nowhere!
