Carter kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Kasabian - Club Foot. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riori doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Carter connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Angel Riori has been cut.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Carter.
Riori shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Carter as he jumps to the side.
Riori on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Carter keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kevin Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Angel Riori.
Carter is looking to clinch but Riori is avoiding it.

and Carter counters with a nice leg kick.
Riori shoots in but Carter avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Carter throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Horrible takedown by Riori or perhaps it was just good defense by Carter which made him look bad.

Carter throws a solid leg kick but Riori takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Carter.

Carter connects with a leg kick. Riori looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Carter lands a big head kick that sends Riori tumbling to the mat! Carter takes a step backwards and waves Riori back to his feet - he wants the finish!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Carter feints a jab and as Riori dips his head, Carter unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Riori right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Riori falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Carter smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Kevin Carter!

After winning the bout, Kevin Carter thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
