Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jans Port (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Jon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jans Port!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Jon!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jon doesn't succeed with the takedown

so Port counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Port got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Port has managed to get both his arms back between Jon's legs - danger averted.
Port scoring with some ground and pound.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jon had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Port defends it easily.

Port wants to get up but he can't break Jon's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Jon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Port sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jon somewhat.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Port feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jon is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Port is forced to tap! Great finish!
