The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Speed gets caught napping as Diaz dives in and scores a takedown. Speed manages to retain guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Diaz postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Speed is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Diaz, into his guard.
Diaz keeping moving, preventing Speed from controlling successfully.
Speed must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Speed has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Diaz to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Speed is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Diaz pulls down on the head and he's put Speed to sleep! This one is all over!
