Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nathan King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Pineapple (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Billy Pineapple acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nathan King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Billy Pineapple!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Pineapple throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

King is rocked!

It looks like Nathan King has been cut.
Pineapple has his takedown stuffed

and King decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pineapple's guard.
King tries to stand but Pineapple is controlling from the bottom.
King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pineapple swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
King is fighting to break Pineapple's control of his arms but Pineapple is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
King wants to pass the guard but Pineapple is keeping the position.

Pineapple is controlling King's posture.
Pineapple's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Pineapple wants to sweep but no luck.
Pineapple keeping moving, preventing King from controlling successfully.
Pineapple is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pineapple prevents King from improving his position.
Pineapple tries to pass the half guard into mount. King knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
King is looking for a sweep. Pineapple is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Pineapple is figuring out what he wants to do next.

King is breathing heavily.

King kicks Pineapple off and gets back to his feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Pineapple doesn't succeed with the takedown

and King counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pineapple won't be happy with that.
Pineapple struggling a bit here.

Pineapple is not content to let King control the position.
You can see the frustration on Pineapple's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Pineapple might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control King kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That was a close round but I would say that Nathan King will probably get the nod.

Pineapple is looking to get to half guard.
King throwing strikes here but Pineapple is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

King looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Nice sprawl there from Pineapple as King shoots in.
King shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

King fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

King throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pineapple's waist but Pineapple gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing King off to one side.
Pineapple throws a nice looking combination but King bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Pineapple seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Pineapple has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but King can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Nathan King overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
