The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

LeChimpanze moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Bignog has worked his arm free - good work by Bignog!

LeChimpanze thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Bignog takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
LeChimpanze cracks Bignog with an elbow. That is naaassty.

LeChimpanze has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

LeChimpanze wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bignog keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

LeChimpanze is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bignog is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
