The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardozo shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
A lazy left from Cardozo finds it's target.
Silver avoids a punch combination nicely.

Silver throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cardozo's waist but Cardozo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silver off to one side.

Cardozo has his foot on Silver's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silver works his way back into a safe position though.

Silver got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cardozo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silver has managed to get both his arms back between Cardozo's legs - danger averted.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Silver accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Silver is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cardozo is just riding it out for now. Silver eventually gives up the hold.
