Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Tom Pazur! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrey Koreshkov! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pazur dives in and scores a takedown into Koreshkov's guard. Pazur gets to his feet. Koreshkov looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Koreshkov moves into the clinch. Koreshkov has hold of one of Pazur's legs. Pazur is fighting the takedown attempt but Koreshkov gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Pazur keeping moving, preventing Koreshkov from controlling successfully. Koreshkov content to stall in guard here. Pazur working for a triangle but Koreshkov defends it easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pazur throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Koreshkov trying to control but Pazur is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koreshkov looking to sit in guard and control but Pazur gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Pazur wants to control from the top but Koreshkov keeps moving. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Pazur is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Koreshkov wants to stand but Pazur is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Andrey Koreshkov was stalling too much, according to the referee. Pazur closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Pazur is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Koreshkov is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
