Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tony Mintolla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tony Mintolla has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Tony Mintolla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Hunter!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mintolla pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mintolla throws a sloppy head kick and Hunter moves out of range easily.
Hunter keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hunter shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mintolla defends it nicely.
Mintolla tries to clinch there but Hunter circles away.

Mintolla changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hunter looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Mintolla working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Hunter is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Mintolla off and has taken his back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hunter doesn't have the hooks in and Mintolla manages to turn into his guard.

Hunter not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mintolla content to stall in guard here.

Mintolla drops back looking for a leg! Hunter is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hunter manages to kick Mintolla off! Mintolla jumps back into Hunter's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mintolla slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Mintolla lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hunter utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Mintolla has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Mintolla passes Hunter's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Mintolla perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Hunter wants to improve his position but Mintolla is controlling well.
Hunter is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Hunter is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mintolla's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mintolla's back!

Hunter is not going to allow Mintolla to sit and survive in this position.
Mintolla is keeping busy.
Hunter not allowing Mintolla to control his hands.
Hunter doesn't have the hooks in and Mintolla manages to turn into his guard.

Mintolla tries to free his leg and advance position but Hunter is retaining full guard.

Mintolla is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tony Mintolla.

Mintolla shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hunter manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Mintolla is stalling in the full guard.

Mintolla seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Mintolla decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mintolla throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mintolla tries to clinch but Hunter is having none of it.
Hunter defending well as Mintolla loads up on a big left hand.
Hunter tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mintolla swivels and escapes.

Mintolla closes the distance and clinches.
Hunter is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Hunter has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Mintolla prevents a takedown attempt there.
Tony Mintolla has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Hunter.
Mintolla tries to throw a body punch but Hunter avoids it by throwing Mintolla back against the cage.

Hunter pulls guard successfully.

Mintolla drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mintolla jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Tony Mintolla overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Mintolla is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Hunter working a defensive guard but Mintolla manages to pass into side control anyway.
Hunter is breathing heavily.
Mintolla is working Hunter over with some ground and pound from side control.
Mintolla cracks Hunter with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Hunter is trying to escape the position but Mintolla is controlling the position.
Mintolla seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hunter for as long as he can get away with.
Hunter is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Mintolla stands up.
Mintolla rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hunter moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Horrible takedown by Hunter or perhaps it was just good defense by Mintolla which made him look bad.

and Mintolla counters with a shoot takedown. Hunter fights it but they end up in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mintolla slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Mintolla stands up from Hunter's guard - Mintolla perhaps looking for a knockout.

Mintolla closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hunter did well to prevent Mintolla getting side control.

Mintolla is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Hunter is being controlled here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mintolla decides to stand back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tony Mintolla dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Mintolla tries to clinch but Hunter is having none of it.
The fighters circle momentarily. Hunter darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Hunter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mintolla is fending him off so far but Hunter persists. Nope, Mintolla circles away and we're back to standing.

Mintolla gets a double leg takedown into Hunter's guard.
Mintolla not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Mintolla passes Hunter's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Mintolla is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Hunter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mintolla works his foot free and advances to mount.
Hunter wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Hunter is trying to get back to his feet but Mintolla has full control of the position and if anything, Hunter has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Mintolla has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Hunter is in real trouble here. Mintolla gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Hunter is tapping out! Mintolla wins by rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Tony Mintolla!
