The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meyer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wayne is fending him off so far but Meyer persists. Nope, Wayne circles away and we're back to standing.
Meyer fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Meyer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wayne defends it nicely.

Meyer shoots in for a double leg but Wayne sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Wayne counters with a three punch combo that has Meyer backing up. Meyer nods at Wayne to acknowledge the strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wayne plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Meyer to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Meyer just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!

John Wayne decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
