Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Death Star (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith closes the distance and clinches.

Star decides to pull guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Smith wants to stand and escape but instead Star has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Star decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Smith, up you get!
Nice cross by Star.
Smith slips a jab and a cross from Star.
Star tries to clinch
and Smith finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Smith wants to clinch up but Star keeps it at a distance.

Smith looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Star!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Smith lands with some strikes.
Star is in a horrible position here. Smith smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Poor strikes thrown by Smith there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Smith throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Smith cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Smith punching from mount but Star doing a good job of avoiding damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smith lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Star hang on?

Star sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Smith wants to pass the guard but Star is defending well.
Smith seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Smith throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Star makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Star.
Smith trying to move into half guard but instead Star has managed to sweep!
Smith looks gassed!
Star passes Smith's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Star takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Smith is trying to stand back up but Star is controlling him

Star performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Smith is in trouble now - Star has advanced to mount!
Smith's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Smith wants to get back to his feet.
I would not like to be Smith right now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Star's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Star is cranking Smith's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Smith! He's tightened the choke and Smith is tapping out!
