The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santiago lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Santiago ducks under a wild hook from Haider.

Santiago has closed the distance and engaged Haider in a clinch.

Santiago breaks from the clinch.
Haider throws a body kick the misses

and Santiago counters with a nice double leg into side control. Haider won't be happy with that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Haider is looking for a sweep.

Santiago stands up and beckons Haider to his feet.
Haider throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Santiago keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Santiago breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Santiago closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Haider did well to prevent Santiago getting side control.
Santiago is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Haider is in trouble now - Santiago has advanced to mount!

Haider tries to control Santiago's body but Santiago pushes him off. Haider squirms to his side and now Santiago has his back!
Santiago trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Haider doesn't escape.

Santiago is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Haider with him. Haider is trying to defend but Santiago has an arm under the chin now! Haider grimaces and is forced to tap out!
