Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dale Bellido (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harvi Kalaso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kalaso has chosen shut em down as his entrance music. Bellido has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Harvi Kalaso has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kalaso drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Bellido is breathing heavily.
Kalaso trying to control the position from guard on top but Bellido is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bellido can't keep his opponent in guard - Kalaso advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Kalaso throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Kalaso trying to control from half guard but Bellido is working away.
Kalaso might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bellido kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Kalaso not doing much here.
It looks like Kalaso might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Harvi Kalaso wasn't active enough on the ground.
Bellido keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Kalaso shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Kalaso working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Kalaso has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Harvi Kalaso hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Bellido moves in looking to clinch but Kalaso pushes him off.

Bellido tries to clinch up but Kalaso circles away and keeps his distance.
Kalaso will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Kalaso closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bellido gets underhooks to prevent Kalaso's takedown attempt.
Dale Bellido has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harvi Kalaso.
Kalaso drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bellido pulls his leg out and moves away.

Kalaso shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kalaso showed some decent athleticism there.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bellido avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kalaso.

Kalaso thows a huge punch but Bellido dodges it nicely.

Kalaso wants to work for an arm triangle but Bellido is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Kalaso cracks Bellido with a big right hand but Bellido just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Kalaso wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bellido keeps working.

Kalaso is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bellido is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kalaso is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Bellido's shoulder. That is not cool.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kalaso moves in looking to clinch but Bellido pushes him off.
A good leg kick by Kalaso.
Kalaso shoots in but Bellido avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Dale Bellido is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kalaso tries to clinch there but Bellido circles away.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Kalaso! Bellido is out on his feet! Kalaso rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Bellido is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Bellido is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
