Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roger misses with a takedown attempt
and Jakinek counters with a head kick. That will keep Roger thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Roger closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Roger lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Jakinek is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Roger drops back looking for a leg! Jakinek is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jakinek manages to kick Roger off! Roger jumps back into Jakinek's guard.

Roger lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Roger postures up in Jakinek's guard and throws a big left but Jakinek blocks it.
Jakinek is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Roger is in close to Jakinek's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Roger postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Roger drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Roger seems to have locked his on tight now - Jakinek screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Roger, as he picks up the win!
