The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Curran throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Skallagrimson dives in and grabs Curran's left leg, looking for a takedown. Curran pushes down on Skallagrimson's head and hops out.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Skallagrimson is defended easily by Curran.
Skallagrimson tries for a takedown but Curran sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Skallagrimson dives in and grabs Curran's left leg, looking for a takedown. Curran pushes down on Skallagrimson's head and hops out.

Skallagrimson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Curran manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Skallagrimson has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Curran is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Skallagrimson yanks on the arm and Curran is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Skallagrimson.

After the fight, Hlynur Skallagrimson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
